One of Spain’s biggest burger competitions
The event brings together some of the most respected burger restaurants across Spain. In recent years, it has become one of the country’s most prominent gastronomic competitions.
Among this year’s standout entries is the Zeus burger, created by Argho’s. The burger secured third place in the Valencian Community ranking.
The Zeus burger from Pego
The Zeus burger combines artisan potato brioche bread with matured beef, known for its rich flavour and juiciness.
The recipe also includes bacon jam, smoked cheddar cheese, crispy onion and a Korean-style sauce that brings the ingredients together.
The top three burgers in the Valencian Community
This year’s regional ranking highlights three burgers as the best in the Valencian Community.
First place went to the Umami Queen, created by Soap Lounge in Villar del Arzobispo.
The burger features 30-day matured beef, brioche bread from Juanito Baker, black garlic aioli, smoked cheese, wholegrain mustard and Pedro Ximénez caramelised onion, finished with a decorative touch of edible gold.
Second place went to the Santa Barbara burger, created by The Vicbros Burger in Sant Vicent del Raspeig.
This burger combines toasted brioche bread with butter, caramelised onion emulsion, Galician blonde beef and aged Comté cheese. It also includes sweet soy sauce with Granny Smith apple cream and mirin, crispy rice and Japanese A5 wagyu.
The Zeus burger from Argho’s in Pego completes the regional top three, putting the Marina Alta firmly on the map for burger enthusiasts.
