Dénia has unveiled a weekend Carnival programme bursting with colour, music and activities for all ages.

Children’s Carnival – Friday 13 February

The children’s celebrations begin on Friday afternoon.

A street parade will set off from the Plaza del Consell at 17.00 and make its way to Plaza María Hervás.

In addition, a batucada drumming group, jugglers and other performers will animate the procession.

Once the parade arrives at Plaza María Hervás, the festivities continue with a mini disco, live entertainment and hot chocolate.

Youth Carnival – Saturday 14 February

Saturday focuses on young people, with events taking place at the Casal Jove de Dénia on Ronda Muralles.

The programme features a fancy dress competition, karaoke and a 360-degree photo booth to capture the Carnival atmosphere.

Participants will gather at Plaza del Consell at 17.45, accompanied by Batucada MonBloc, before leaving at 18.00 in a parade towards the Casal Jove. Celebrations there will continue until 22.00.

Carnival dance for older residents – Sunday 15 February

Older residents will enjoy their own Carnival dance on Sunday afternoon at the Centro Social de Dénia, running from 18.00 to 20.00.

Furthermore, judges will award prizes for the three best costumes.
