Wizz Air is continuing its growth at Alicante-Elche Airport.
After recently announcing a year-round route to Bratislava (starting 15 December), the Hungarian airline is now turning its attention to Italy.
From 26 October, Wizz Air will launch a new service to Milan-Malpensa, operating four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Introductory fares start at €23.
The flights take just over two hours. Departures from Alicante are scheduled for 20:30, arriving in Milan shortly after 22:30. The return flight leaves Milan at 17:30, landing on the Costa Blanca at 19:45.
This new route puts Wizz Air in direct competition with Ryanair, which already connects Alicante to Milan but flies more frequently into Bergamo.
Until now, Wizz Air’s only Italian link from Alicante was Rome-Fiumicino. The Milan expansion is part of a wider push across Europe.
