The Alicante Fire Department has launched a Christmas charity campaign to support families in need. Firefighters are collecting toys and food and, in return, they are opening their doors to the public.

Until 30 December, the Ildefonso Prats fire station (Playa de San Juan) will act as a donation centre. You are invited to bring a new toy or non-perishable food items and take part in a festive open house.

The campaign is designed with children in mind.

Over the next few days, families can visit the fire station and learn what firefighters do every day. Children will be able to see the fire engines, equipment, and facilities up close.

The fire station is located on Avenida del Locutor Vicente Hipólito. It will be open to visitors from 11:00 to 13:00 and then from 17:00 to 19:00.

All donations collected will be distributed later as part of the Fire Department’s Christmas charity effort.
